




Industrial Insulation Installation for Revolutionary Energy Plant, Worksop
Jade Insulation were contracted to carry out the industrial insulation installation of various process pipework, vessels and columns for a revolutionary energy and carbon capture plant near Worksop. The plant is one of the UK’s first high‑efficiency gas‑engine plants paired with carbon‑capture technology.
The project based near Worksop is a joint venture with Victory Hill, a specialist investment firm that targets direct investments in global energy infrastructure. Their projects support the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
This was a first-of-its-kind project and was developed under the Landmark Power Holdings’ FLEXPOWER PLUS™ concept, which is designed to offer flexible power generation using natural gas engines, offering enhanced energy efficiency and carbon capture technology. The site is located in Rhodesia, Worksop, North Nottinghamshire, with an electrical capacity of 10 MW. Any additional capacity is being supplied through a private wire power supply to local businesses.
Construction began in March 2022, with first power production in March 2024. The first CO₂ was captured in February 2025, and the plant is now fully operational.

Technical Project Details
For the development of the Worksop project, LMPH and Victory Hill partnered with the following global industrial groups – Mitsubishi Turboden S.p.A., MTU Rolls Royce Solutions UK, ASCO Carbon Dioxide Ltd and Climeon.
Key Technical Details
- Captures CO₂ from Rolls‑Royce MTU gas engine exhaust streams as part of a purchase contract with BUSE Gases Ltd.
- Produces food‑grade liquid CO₂ for commercial customers
Capacity and Impact
- The site is capable of capturing up to 30,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year
- The CO₂ is used for food/beverage carbonation (beer, soft drinks)

Our Solution
Having received the requested temperature profile/specification from the client, we evaluated the thermal efficiency required and the suitability of various insulative materials.
The various sections of pipework, along with the vessels and columns, were then insulated with either mineral wool (steam, hot water, condensate), CO2 (elastomeric foam) and hot oil (foam glass). The insulated sections were then covered using Aluzinc cladding. We also produced insulative jackets for certain elements of the project at our Rotherham HQ. These are custom-made to ISO standards and can be produced for a broad range of applications and temperatures.

Our Work & Conclusion
Ensures that the plant works efficiently and effectively, which reduces energy consumption and therefore reduces the carbon footprint.
It will prevent freezing, negating unplanned outages, and ensuring ongoing supply to customers. Will protect critical infrastructure, such as pipework, vessels, and columns, from climatic conditions and mechanical damage for many years to come.
Significantly reduce thermal expansion and contraction of joints, avoiding undue stress and potential outages. Create a safer environment for personnel through the avoidance of extreme temperatures, whilst offering acoustic insulation to reduce noise levels.
