
Mineral wool
Available in pre-formed pipe sections and with excellent thermal properties and fire resistance, it’s an ideal material for higher temperature applications. It’s naturally water-repellent and resists mould and bacterial growth, offering a long service life. Often used with a foil wrap or vapour barrier, it protects pipes from condensation build-up, preventing corrosion. Thicknesses of 25-50mm are mainly used, but we can supply up to 100mm. It can operate up to temperatures of 600 °C.

EDPM Foam Rubber
This material offers outstanding weather resistance along with excellent chemical resistance and can be used in temperatures ranging from -50 to +105 °C. It’s also highly flexible and resilient, making it effective where there’s movement or vibration. Its closed-cell structure not only repels water but also offers sound acoustic insulation. EDPM foam emits low VOCs and is also recyclable.

Phenolic
Phenolic insulation offers superior levels of thermal efficiency and exceptional fire resistance with a Class O or Class A/B fire rating. Its closed cell structure repels water and vapour, making it ideal for damp or humid conditions. It’s also highly durable and ideal where space restricts the use of thicker materials. This makes it a perfect material for heating and ventilation. Thicknesses of 25-50mm are commonly used, but we can supply up to 100mm. Operating temperature ranges from -50 to 110 °C.

Calcium Wool (Kaowool/Superwool)
It is often used as a base insulating layer beneath mineral wool for high-temperature applications such as boilers, kilns, and gas flues/exhausts, as it operates in temperatures up to 1200 °C. These materials are bio-soluble and therefore offer improved health safety over traditional refractory fibres.

Glass Wool (Needlematt)
It is also used as a base layer beneath mineral wools in insulative jackets due to its flexibility and high temperature tolerance. Generally non-combustible, it offers excellent fire safety, thermal efficiency, and soundproofing. Available from 6-50mm, it can withstand temperatures of 600 °C.
