Insulative Jackets
Insulative jackets not only help to reduce energy costs but also protect critical, valuable equipment from freezing and damage. Ensuring they operate effectively and increasing their working life, whilst offering protection to personnel.
Jade Insulation designs and manufactures insulative jackets in a range of materials, depending on the demands and temperature profile.
Our jackets can be designed to meet your requirements, with trace heating if required. They can be cut using our in-house CAD-controlled cutting table and hand-stitched by our dedicated team of machinists. This ensures consistent reproducibility and high quality. They offer easy access for maintenance, durability, and high-temperature insulation where required. We can supply in a broad range of colours, and badge them with your company logo or with safety/operating instructions.
Typical applications are valve and pump covers, boiler ends, marine engines, safety hose-reels and showers, fire extinguishers, IBC and drum covers.
Depending on the application and the conditions in which they operate, they can be produced in PVC, silicone-coated fabric or for extreme temperatures. These graphite-coated silica fabrics can withstand temperatures of 1000 °C. The insulation used is commonly mineral wool.
However, foam can be used for large jackets where weight plays a factor. Needlematt or Kaowool can also be used as a base layer for high-temperature jackets.
